Kolcraft Umbrella Stroller

The Kolcraft Umbrella Stroller - Lightweight, Budget Priced, Great for Tall People?

The Kolcraft Umbrella Stroller is a super stroller for quick trips to the shops. It has lots of convenient and time-saving features such as bag and cup holders along with reclining comfortable seats for quick sleeps for baby. The stroller also has a wide sun canopy which is fully adjustable enabling you to protect your little one from the sun's harmful rays. It also offers a very comfortable ride and importantly for mums, has enough storage capacity to hold babies things and plenty of shopping.

Kolcraft Umbrella StrollerSo, how do you know when your child is ready to use an Umbrella stroller?

The Kolcraft umbrella stroller has a manufacturers recommended age of between five months to 4 years. The Kolcraft umbrella stroller utilises a three-point harness safety strap which some moms find lacking for smaller children. For older children in the ranges of 2 to 4 years the safety harness works perfectly however younger children can cause difficulties in terms of the limitations of a three-point locking mechanism.

Stroller Build Quality

The build quality of the Kolcraft umbrella stroller is robust and strong, is very easy to collapse and I would consider it to be a very lightweight stroller thus simple to transport to and from the trunk. The sun canopy could benefit from being slightly longer to ensure complete protection from the sun however its current length is adequate for most. Being lightweight in nature this Kolcraft umbrella stroller makes the perfect companion to travelling on aeroplanes. The limited weight will not cause you too many problems with regards to luggage restrictions and it can simply be handed to the airport attendant at the boarding gates.

Ride Comfort and Accessibility

The ride is smooth and comfortable for baby as result of the active suspension system although I have noted that the wheels are a little on the small side which does not make it ideal for going over uneven terrain and especially grassy areas. That said, for out and about general use this is an effective and budget priced umbrella stroller.

Another additional feature of the Kolcraft umbrella stroller is that it is very well suited to tall parents. My husband is 6'2" and he has no problems pushing the stroller with its long handles and not hitting his feet whilst walking.

Kolcraft Umbrella StrollersTogether with its fully reclining seat and additional padding the extra wide seat will ensure that your toddler does not grow out of the stroller to quickly. The fabric of the umbrella stroller is made from hard wearing materials which are easy to wipe down and clean. Also made by Kolcraft is a double stroller which is available in the umbrella style should you have more than one child to transport around the town.

In summary then, the Kolcraft umbrella stroller is an excellent choice being lightweight, easy to manoeuvre, kids will love it, and so will your pocket. It is great for airports and air travel and is easily collapsible (see Kolcraft Umbrella Stroller for full fitting and usage instructions). My only consideration which I would advise you to bear in mind is that the safety harness is a three-point system or otherwise known as a lap belt and does not contain any shoulder restraints.
